The Swimming Pool

The swimming pool is situated in an area of natural beauty above the house, where it has a commanding views of  the  surrounding  countryside.
It is in very open, sunny spot so the water in the pool is always pleasantly warm.

The rectangular shaped pool has a circular stair case facilitating entry into and exit from the water. The sun terrace surrounding the pool is paved in natural stone interspersed with areas of greenery to create a perfect unison with the surroundings. Further landscaping is simple and elegant.

There are sun chairs and loungers on the terrace with umbrellas serving shade even during the hottest hours of the day.

Sports and free time

Riding stables for horse riding in the beautiful countryside are a short distance from San Gimignano.
A Tennis Club is also nearby and scooters and mountain bikes can be hired locally.
An 18-hole golf course is approximately 20 km. from the Podere.

In the outskirtses

Podere Casanuova is only 2 km. from the historic centre of San Gimignano and its characteristic restaurants, and bars where one can dine inside and out.
Other lovely cities well worth visiting in Tuscany are easily reached; Florence is only 45 km. away; Siena 35 km.; Volterra 28 km. and Pisa 60 km. The Tuscan coast is 60 km, if anyone fancies a day at the seaside.
